David Winkler Music - What's New

DAVID WINKLER EXCLUSIVE PUBLICATIONS — This new category lists a number of my arrangements which are self-published. There's lots of useful music here, mostly various pieces I've done throughout the years which don't really fit into a publisher's catalog. Also included are several items which have gone "out of print" but are now available directly from me.  Visit page »

Give Yourself Away — Arrangement for SATB of the song recorded by the group "New Song."  See listing »

ASCAP ANNUAL AWARD — It's always a pleasure for me to hear of people using my music with their performing ensembles. Each year, I apply for an ASCAP "Special Award," which provides a small cash prize to composers whose works are performed in venues which are not subject to ASCAP licensing, such as church worship services. If you have performed a David Winkler arrangement or composition within the past year, you can help me win this award by e-mailing me and letting me know the title of the piece, plus when and where the music was performed. Or, if you prefer, you can send a copy of the printed program of your performance to me at 111 Powers Road, Winston-Salem, NC 27106-3615. Thanks in advance for your help in this!

NEW MUSIC FROM CUBA! — Since 2008, I've become involved with missions to Cuba, having made two trips there thus far. Though ruled by a Communist government and cut off from contact with the United States by the longstanding embargo, the church is alive and vibrant on the island. One evidence of a spiritual awakening is the many wonderful songs that Cuban Christian musicians are writing. I'm very excited to announce a new web site — www.alabanzacubana.com — where you can now obtain some of this music for yourself. I also hope to return to Cuba sometime this year. Please pray with me about this, and if the Lord leads you to participate financially, please let me know.  Visit site »
